Harmony With A Purpose
The Acappella Fellas is a church-based, nonprofit singing group that has been uplifting hearts and souls through harmony since 1992. Originally formed when most of its founding members were still in high school, the group was given its name by its first leader, Mr. Gregory Adams. From its inception, the group has been a blend of voices from various denominations across the British Virgin Islands, united by a shared love for music and ministry.
Inspired by legendary local male groups such as Foggy Mountain Boys, The Old Timers, and The Jubileers, as well as internationally acclaimed vocal ensembles like Boyz II Men and Take 6, The Acappella Fellas have always been drawn to the beauty and complexity of tight harmonies.
The group began performing at church services and community events, steadily gaining recognition for its dynamic vocal arrangements. In 1993, they started the cherished tradition of Christmas caroling across Tortola, a practice that continues to bring joy each holiday season. Over time, their repertoire expanded beyond Christmas music to include a diverse mix of gospel, jazz, traditional hymns, negro spirituals, fungi, and calypso.
More than just a singing group, The Acappella Fellas is a brotherhood bound by faith, friendship, and a commitment to spreading God’s word through song. Their mission is to inspire people of all ages, using the power of music to uplift, encourage, and create a lasting legacy of service to both the church and the wider community.
The Acappella Fellas’ music is available worldwide on all digital platforms. Their latest album, "We Covered" (released February 2025), showcases their versatility with an all-season collection of powerful vocal arrangements. This follows their beloved Christmas album, "Christmas in the BVI", a festive celebration of Caribbean holiday traditions.
